Brent Hyman, conductor of this year’s annual Messiah presented by the First Mennonite Church Chorale Society, said that during Saturday night’s performance, his eyes teared up when he heard the choir he was conducting sing the line, “The Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
