Commissioners may have found use for work release building

​It is no secret that Adams County is building a new jail. As a matter of fact, it is about two to three weeks from being completed. This is great news for Sheriff Shane Rekeweg and his staff. They have been fighting overcrowding issues and maintenance problems at the old jail for years. The new jail is much larger, which should solve the overcrowding issues. Since it is a new building, there shouldn’t be any maintenance issues.
