The Adams County Council approved several replacement hires during its Tuesday meeting. Adams County Sheriff Shane Rekeweg received approval to hire a replacement dispatcher after one of his dispatchers abruptly resigned. He also sought and received approval to hire a part-time maintenance person for the new jail. He said the new position would likely take 15-20 hours per week and he would look for someone with plumbing, heating, and minor vehicle maintenance experience.
