Decatur annexes new jail property

The Decatur City Council met on Tuesday evening and held a short, but busy meeting. With a local Boy Scout Troop looking on, the council passed several resolutions and ordinances. An ordinance was passed approving the fiscal plan for the new jail. This was necessary in order for the city to annex the new jail property into the city limits.
