Decatur moving forward with water overhaul

The Decatur City Council passed an ordinance to sell $19 million worth of bonds to finance a rather ambitious project which will replace the aging water plant on Monroe Street, rehab the water plant on Winchester Street, drill a new well field, and reline a pipeline that carries water from Berne to Decatur.
