Lehman accompanies Messiah for 60th time
When Dr. Scott Lehman completed the final notes of Worthy is the Lamb at Sunday afternoon’s performance of Handel’s Messiah, it represented the 60th time that he had accompanied the well-known oratorio. The first time was in 1987, when Lehman was 27 years old, at the beckoning of Dr. Freeman Burkhalter who was convinced at the time that Lehman was good enough on the church organ to carry out the task.
