South Adams approves funding to upgrade technology
The South Adams School Board approved a request made by technology director Myra Moore for Rainy Day funds to be used to upgrade some software at the school. The VMware, which deals with the servers, and the SAN (Storage Area Network), which is used for storing all of the data at the school, both need upgraded. Moore stated that she had been hoping to do it before now but with budget cuts, she has not be able to make the necessary changes and that the future budget does not look like it is going to allow for it. The board approved her to spend up to $60,000.
