South Adams kindergartners make overseas connection
Last Veterans Day, South Adams kindergarten teacher Denise Habegger’s class wrote thank you notes and sent a class picture to Habegger’s son-in-law in the Army National Guard, SPC Jordan Meyer. Costing just over $6 in postage, the envelope of notes traveled thousands of miles to Meyer’s base overseas. Although the letter-writing project was fun for everyone, many of the students had no idea that Habegger and Meyer were working out something bigger.
