Starfires win regional with avalanche of offense
BUTLER — Katelin Augsburger is the epitome of speaking softly and carrying a loud stick. The soft-spoken South Adams junior went 4-for-4 with three doubles — one that slammed off the centerfield fence — drove in six runs, and held Eastside to just two hits with a strong pitching performance as the Starfires collected an easy 14-1 win in five innings Tuesday night in the Class 2A softball regional championship game at Eastside.
