South Adams dismissed Southern Wells 11-1 in five innings Thursday night in varsity softball and moved into a tie with Adams Central for the Allen County Athletic Conference lead. Both South Adams and Adams Central are 3-1, with Heritage looming at 2-1 behind them. The Starfires won a second game in a weeknight doubleheader with Southern Wells 7-6 and sit at 11-4 for the season. Katelin Augsburger hit a triple and had two RBI in game one for South Adams. She also pitched all five innings, allowing one run on three hits while walking two and striking out three.
