Technology takes center stage at South Adams
Technology updates were approved by the South Adams School Board on Tuesday evening. Technology director Myra Moore presented the board with a proposal to replace all of the iPads and MacBooks for the elementary school purchased in 2013. As in 2013, the proposal requests that $400,000 from the Rainy Day Fund be used to purchase new equipment, including 760 student and staff iPads, 60 MacBook Airs, 35 Apple TVs, two new iMacs or Mac minis, 650 student iPad cases, 90, teacher iPad cases, and five teacher external DVD drives. These purchases total $376,977.48.
