Barbara D. Robinson

Barbara D. Robinson, 75, of Geneva passed away at 10:13 a.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton. She was born on Monday, September 29, 1941 in Jay County to Sylvester “Bus” and Irene Marie (Burkey) Robbins. She was married on November 21, 1959 in Portland to Thomas W. Robinson.

She was a very creative person. She enjoyed arts, crafts, and painting. She loved to work beside her husband on the family farm, where she helped milk the cows. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Donna Robinson; and Julie (Kenny) Hemmelgarn, both of Portland; and Jenny Morningstar of Geneva; two sons, Bill Robinson of Geneva; and Tony (Pam) Robinson of Waterloo; two sisters, Mona Steed; and Jeanette Lee, both of Portland; three brothers, Larry R. Robbins; John R. Robbins; and Tommy R. Robbins, all of Portland; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 22, 2006; and two sisters, Carolyn Steed; and Joan Slusher.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 14 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Burial will at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, where the family will gather for a private service.
