Beverly A. Grandlinard | The Berne Witness

Beverly A. Grandlinard

Beverly A. Grandlinard, 89, of Berne passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on May 20, 1928 in Porterville, California to Olin and Dorthea (Kauffman) Krehbiel. She was married on April 30, 1955 to Glen Grandlinard.

She was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne, where she was active in the music ministry. She played the piano and sang in the ladies sextet and choirs. She was a former employee of Dunbar Furniture in Berne. She graduated from Bluffton College in Ohio. She assisted her husband with the farming and especially enjoyed driving the tractor. She enjoyed caring for and riding horses, gardening, caring for her flowers, traveling, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, sons, Kevin Grandlinard of rural Bluffton; and Kris (Rhonda) Grandlinard of Berne; brother, Rev. Ronald (Cynthia Kirchhofer) Krehbiel of Hesston, Kansas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Lisa Grandlinard.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 in the Swiss Village Auditorium and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 14 at the First Mennonite Church in Berne. Officiating will Pastor Jerry A. Flueckiger. Burial will be at Six-Mile Cemetery in rural Bluffton.

Memorials may be made to the First Mennonite Church Music Ministry or Family LifeCare.
