Bill D. Fisher
Bill D. Fisher, 79, of Markle passed away at 3:29 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 12, 1937 in Wells County to Donald F. and Ruby M. (Burgess) Fisher. He was married on January 31, 1958 at Nine Mile to Colleen Moore.
He was a 1955 graduate of East Union High School. He drove a school bus for Northern Wells Community Schools for 38 years, retiring in 2005. He was a lifetime farmer in Wells County. He was a member of the Warren Church of Christ. He bowled for over 40 years in the Bluffton Church League. He enjoyed going to Norwell basketball games, and he generally enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Gary (Glennda) Fisher of Uniondale; Barry (Michelle) Fisher of Berne; and Perry (Janice) Fisher of Markle; sister, Bonnie Denly of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Max D. Fisher; sister, Helen Seaman; and granddaughter, Nicole Fisher.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1 at Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Ethan Stivers, Pastor Dal Fosnaugh and Pastor Richard Kees. Burial will be at Hovertsock Cemetery in Zanesville.
