Bill L. Pyle
Bill L. Pyle, 86, of Celina, Ohio passed away of a broken heart at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio. He was born on May 15, 1930 in Geneva to John and Glendolyn (Bryan) Pyle. He was married on December 12, 1953 to Wanda Manning.
He was a 1947 graduate of Geneva High School in Geneva. He retired from Mersman Table Factory in Celina after 35 plus years of service. After retiring, he drove for Kerns in Celina for many years. He was a life member of Grace Missionary Church in Celina, Ohio. He was known for his woodworking skills and his homemade ice cream. He enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Indiana University basketball, and bowling, and he umpired softball for years. His family meant the world to him, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his son, Kevin (Jenny) Pyle of Celina, Ohio; two daughters, Diana Hellwarth of Celina, Ohio; and Peggy (Tim) Vaught of Murray, Kentucky; two brothers, Bob (Freda) Pyle of Berne; and Jim (Alice) Pyle of Bradenton, Florida; two sisters, Roberta (Larry) Maloney of Linn Grove; and Jenny Schilser of Indiana; ten grandchildren, Terry Hellwarth; Tracy (Trent) Hamrick; Tara (Jeff) Davis; Tiffany Hellwarth; Kristen (Marc) Andrews; Kelsie Pyle; Kody (Katie) Pyle; Katie Pyle; Sarah Vaught; and Jesse Vaught; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on February 4, 2017; son-in-law, Larry Hellwarth; an infant great-granddaughter, Julia Andrews; brother, Jonny D. Pyle; and three sisters, Thelma Kongar; Imogene (Sam) Hart; and Maxine (Jack) Davis.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16 at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio and one hour prior to the 11:30 a.m. funeral service on Friday, February 17 at Grace Missionary Church in Celina, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Bruce Head. Burial will be Westlawn Cemetery in Geneva.
