Colleen K. Lehman

Colleen K. Lehman, 90, of Berne passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Swiss Village, where she was a resident. She was born on August 8, 1927 to Edgar and Katherine (Schug) Clauser. She was married on July 20, 1947 to Richard L. “Dick” Lehman.

She was a faithful member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne, where she taught Sunday school, was a Mission Band member, and was involved in various other activities. She and her husband owned and operated the Richard's Jewelry Store in Berne for many years. She was a Girl Scout leader, involved in Migrant Day Care, and served on the county Democratic committee. She also enjoyed traveling. Above all, she loved her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Steury of Berne; Dawn (Tym) Desanto of Nashville, Tennessee; and Jan (David) Melinski of St. Petersburg, Florida; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Marilyn Clauser; and one grandson.

Memorials may be made to Camp Friedenswald or the Mennonite Disaster Service.

A celebration of life and visitation will be held at a later date.
