David A. Teeple

David Allen Teeple, 63, of Berne was called to his heavenly home at 7:16 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne surrounded by his family. He was born on Tuesday, October 12, 1954 in Bluffton to Harvey and Edith (Moeschberger) Teeple. He was married on November 18, 1978 at St. John UCC in Vera Cruz to Tammy Patch.

He was a 1973 graduate of South Adams High School. He was an active member of St. Luke Church in rural Decatur, where he served on the deacon board. He was employed by Peyton’s Northern. He enjoyed fishing, tractors, singing, ice cream, and being with family. He adored spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife; son, Christopher (Andrea) Teeple of Saginaw, Texas; daughter, Emily Teeple of Indianapolis; three brothers, Dwight (Lonnie) Teeple; and Dee (Becky) Teeple, both of Berne; and Dale (Judy) Teeple of Bancroft, Michigan; two sisters, Beverly (Clarence) Zimmerman of Bluffton; and Janet (James) Dennison of Berne; three grandchildren, Madison, Kylee, and Seth Teeple; mother-in-law, Betty Patch of Geneva; and brother-in-law, Randy Bryan of Berne.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose Bryan; father-in-law, Frank Patch; and sister-in-law, Connie Stanford.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, November 11 at St. Luke Church. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Wertenberger. Burial will immediately follow the service.

Memorials may be made to the St. Luke Church youth.
