David E. Girod

David E. Girod, 33, of rural Geneva passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Adams Memorial Hospital in Geneva. He was born on October 29, 1983 in Adams County to Ernest B. and Lucy (Schwartz) Girod. He was married on April 30, 2009 to Ann G. Schwartz.

He was a member of the Old Order Amish and was a carpenter.

He is survived by his parents; his wife of rural Berne; daughter, Rachel D. Girod of Geneva; four sons, Walter D. Girod; Jacob D. Girod; Nathan D. Girod; and Benjamin D. Girod, all of Geneva; seven brothers, Ernest E. (Margaret) Girod; Emanuel E. (Rachel) Girod; Ben E. (Christine) Girod; Raymond E. Girod; Jake E. Girod; Jerry E. Girod; and William E. Girod; all of Geneva; five sisters, Josephine (Elmer) Eicher; Rebecca E. (Samuel) Wickey; Lucy (Homer) Wickey; Sarah E. Girod; and Emma E. Girod, all of Geneva.

Visitation was from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 26 and will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27 at his residence, 3837W 1100S, Geneva. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28 also at his residence. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
