Deborah L. Lehman

Deborah L. Lehman, 65, of Berne passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home. She was born on May 7, 1951 in Indianapolis to Leroy and Melba (Robbins) Rusher. She was married on October 11, 1980 to Kendall M. Lehman.

She was a member of Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton, where she was involved in church missions and was a small group mentor. She was an elementary teacher at South Adams for eight years and later was on the staff at Global Disciples in Berne. She enjoyed music, participating in a praise ensemble, and scrapbooking. She was faithful in reading her Bible and loving her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of Berne; three sons, Joshua (Jill Aupperle) Lehman of Roach, Missouri; Andrew Lehman of Decatur; and Benjamin Lehman of Fort Wayne; sister, Rebecca (Ron) Reynolds of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, November 9 at Hope Missionary Church in Bluffton.

Officiating will be Pastor Gary Aupperle. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. at Springhill Church Cemetery east of Berne.

Memorials may be made to Global Disciples or New Tribes Missions in Sanford, Florida.
