Delbert Fuchs
Delbert Leon Fuchs (Fox), 72, of Monroe, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 10, 1945 in Monroe to Milo and Mary (Hirschy) Fuchs.
He was a farmer and has also worked with Ideal Builders as a painter. He had various jobs throughout the years and was self-employed. He enjoyed fishing with his sons, hunting with friends, gardening and all outdoor activities. He was involved with softball leagues, horseshoes and enjoyed sitting on his porch playing his harmonica.
He is survived by three sons, Norman (Barbara) Fuchs and David (Christy Cummings) Fuchs both of Angola; and Douglas (Amy) Fuchs of Leo; and seven grandchildren, Tiffany (Charlie) Pinkerman; Jenna Fuchs; Nathan Fuchs; Megan Fuchs; Anna Fuchs; Brandie Fuchs; and Darren Fuchs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Delores Harvey; Herman Fox; Ivan Fox; and Irene Burkholder.
The funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12 at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with visiting two hours prior. Pastor Fred Meuter will officiate. Burial will follow at M.R.E. Cemetery in Berne.
