Florence C. Myers

Florence C. Myers, 93, of Berne passed away at 10:45 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Swiss Village in Berne. She was born on Thursday, March 6, 1924 in Geneva. She was married on Saturday, May 18, 1946 in Adams County to James H. Ward Myers.

She was a lifelong resident of Adams County. She was a 1942 graduate of Geneva High School. She was a member of the Bethel Brethren Church in Berne. She worked for G.E. in Decatur and was a housewife and helped farm. She enjoyed getting together with her school classmates.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Julie) Myers of Bluffton; and David (Toni) Myers of Decatur; five grandchildren, Arlene Holland of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Wesley Myers of Lafayette; Christian Myers of Haubstadt; and Ariana Myers; and Sophia Myers, both of Decatur; four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Eli McCollum; mother, Elnora (Buckmaster) Shoemaker; her husband; sister, Reba Dailey; and brother, Keith McCollum.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 12 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Joseph Nass. Burial will be at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
