Francille L. Zimmerman, 97, of Berne passed away on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Swiss Village in Berne, where she was a resident. She was born on December 29, 1918 in Van Wert County, Ohio to Claud and Essie (Koos) Harvey. She was married on October 2, 1938 to Edward E. Zimmerman of Berne.

She graduated in 1936 from Monroe High School in Monroe as salutatorian. She was a member of the West Missionary Church and served as Sunday school secretary and church financial secretary for a number of years. She was also employed as a legal secretary to local attorney Howard Baumgartner for several years. She enjoyed sewing and working outside with her flowers and lawn.

She is survived by her son, Marvin (Shelby) Zimmerman of Berne; two grandsons, Brent (Renea) Zimmerman of Bluffton, Ohio; and Kevin (Liza) Zimmerman of Villa Park, Illinois; brother, Don Harvey of rural Bluffton; sister, Kathleen Frantz of Bluffton; three great-granddaughters, Caitlyn Zimmerman of Bluffton Ohio; and Isabela and Nalia Zimmerman of Villa Park, Illinois; and two great-grandsons, Bryan Zimmerman of Bluffton, Ohio; and Mekhi Zimmerman of Villa Park, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on December 4, 2009; sister, Vera Myers; and two brothers, Dale and Claude (Pete) Harvey.

Visitation was from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 and one hour prior to the 9:30 a.m. funeral service on Monday, July 18 at the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne. Officiating was Pastor Keith Rupp. Burial was at MRE Cemetery in Berne.

Memorials may be made to the West Missionary Church.
