Helen R. Harris

Helen R. Harris, 93, of Geneva passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Persimmon Ridge in Portland. She was born on Thursday, February 28, 1924 in Bryant to Wilmer L. and Ruth E. (Risen) Pyle.

She was a graduate of Bryant High School. She worked for Jay Garment in Portland, Dryden Rubber in Montpelier, CTS in Berne, Corning Glass in Dunkirk, Dunbar in Berne, TJ's Convenience Store in Geneva and Willshire, Ohio. She enjoyed reading.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Lee (Joan) Kongar of Bryant; and Jerry A. Harris of Geneva; sister, Hazel (Dale) Noble of The Villages, Florida; two grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Sherman T. Kongar; and Blake O. Reese; two sisters, Edna Baker Ray; and Pearl Champ; and brother, Sherman Pyle.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Paul VanCise. Burial will be at Daugherty Cemetery in Bryant.
