Henry E. Findley

Henry E. Findley, 75, of Celina, Ohio passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Heartland of Waterville Nursing Home in Waterville, Ohio. He was born on September 27, 1942 in Celina, Ohio to Edward Jessie and Martha May (Burtch) Findley. He was married on July 13, 1974 to Sharon Rose Case.

He attended Celina High School and served in the United States Army from 1961 until 1963. He was a mechanic at Schwartz Marathon and transported Amish for William Shettler. He never met a stranger and was loved and respected by everyone he knew.

He is survived by four daughters, Sheri Roll; and Alexandria Cargill, both of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Martha (Tim) Gotshall of Sidney, Ohio; and Kimberly (Patrick) Noell of Lake, Michigan; two sons, Robert Shreves of Wapakoneta, Ohio; and Edward (Glenna) Findley of Celina, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on April 8, 2017; and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Terry Spooner.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8 and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, January 9 at Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Wilson. A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Buck Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Findley family to assist with funeral expenses.
