James F. Burnfield
James F. Burnfield, 47, of Ft. Collins, Colorado and formerly of Berne, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 shortly after his motorcycle collided with an auto in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He was born on August 15, 1969 in Decatur to Roger F. Burnfield and Carol J. Reinhard Kuhn.
He was a 1987 graduate of Van Wert High School and was a construction worker. He enjoyed cars, riding his cycle, hunting, and the construction trades.
He is survived by his father of Van Wert, Ohio; his mother and step-father, Orla L. Kuhn of Bluffton; grandmother; Ruth S. Burnfield of Spencerville, Ohio; son, Tyler James Burnfield of Decatur; sister, Annette M. (Charles L.) Parr of Bluffton; nephew, Kristopher D. (Sara) Adams of Bluffton; and six step-siblings, Steve (Kimmy) Kuhn; Micah (Vickie) Kuhn; Debbie (Jeff) Moser; Becky (Glen) Agler; Susie Reed; and Jenni (Dave) Haman.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, J. Frederick Burnfield; and Ephriam “Ed” and Roberta L. Reinhard.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the 12:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, July 21 at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, Ohio. Officiating will be Rev. Scott Johnson. Burial will be at Spencerville Cemetery.
