Kathryn M. Moore

Kathryn M. Moore, 88, of Berne passed away on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Swiss Village in Berne, where she was a resident. She was born on January 13, 1929 in St. Joe County to George and Eliza (Smith) Hansen. She was married on June 25, 1955 to Richard Moore.

She was a member of the First Missionary Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She retired from EPC in Geneva as a quality inspector. She enjoyed reading and playing cards, as well as watching sports and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.

She is survived by two sons, Stephen (Cindy) Moore of Berne; and Daniel (Beth) Moore of Frisco, Texas; three daughters, Janis (Jerroll) Lehman of Fort Wayne; Robyn Moore of Africa; and Kelli Moore of Berne; three sisters, Betty Brown; and Grace Spake, both of Elkhart; and Ruth Overhulser of Osceola; seven grandchildren, Emily (Nick) Kaeser; Geoff Moore; Jadrienne (Jonathon) Crist; Jacueline (Phillip) Wittwer; Rachel Moore; Jacen (Megan) Lehman; and Jonathan Moore; and eight great-grandchildren, Alexis Crist; Kamren Crist; Presleigh Mae Moore; Elliot Wittwer; Haven Fisher; Emma Rae Crist; Sawyer Lehman; and Evan Wittwer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 2007; and sister, Alta Lou Weaver.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27 and one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, March 28 in the Swiss Village Auditorium. Officiating will be Pastor James Schwartz. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
