Leah J. Schwartz

Leah J. Schwartz, 79, of rural Geneva passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born on November 27, 1936 in Adams County to Jonas and Margaret (Schwartz) Graber. She was married on May 3, 1962 to Joe N. Schwartz.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Menno J.L. (Leah) Schwartz of Berne; and Jonas J.L. (Barbara) Schwartz; and Joe J.L. (Emma) Schwartz, both of Geneva; six daughters, Maggie (Tim) Shetler; Anna (Jake) Shetler; and Lydia (Vernon) Schwartz, all of Berne; Leah (John) Shetler; and Susie (Val) Shetler, Jr., both of Geneva; and Mary (William) Schwartz of Decatur; four brothers, Chris J. (Mary) Graber; John J. (Barbara) Graber; Amos J. Graber; and Jacob J. Graber, all of Geneva; five sisters, Lydia J. (Elmer) Hilty of Monroe; Maggie J. (Amos) Hilty of Bluffton; Emma J. (Joni) Hilty of Geneva; and Mary J. (Martin) Schwartz; and Lovina J. (Jacob) Hilty, both of Berne; 93 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Josephine Graber; five brothers, Samuel J. Graber; Daniel J. Graber; Reuben J. Graber; Jonas J. Graber; and David J. Graber.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21 and 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22 at the residence, 2025E 1000S, Geneva. Funeral services will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 23 at the residence. Officiating will be Jonas H. Graber. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Geneva.
