Lloyd E. Spichiger
Lloyd Edward Spichiger, 86, of Indianapolis passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home. He was born on November 16, 1930 at home in Linn Grove to Edwin and Dora Spichiger.
He was a graduate of Hartford High School. He worked for Eley TV and Appliance in Bluffton for 30 years, Restco Restaurant Equipment in Fort Wayne, and as a custodian for the Bluffton-Harrison MSD, Columbian Elementary School and for several years volunteered with the Adams-Wells Hospice. He enjoyed golf, bowling, traveling, dancing, whistling, and playing cards, (especially euchre and bridge). He played the drums for years in a band with his brother Bob and loved both playing and listening to music. He was a skilled woodworker, artist, and loved creating oil paintings. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Bluffton.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Keith Spichiger; son-in-law, Ken Erickson; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-children; and three step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Peggy; and daughter, Darlene (Spichiger) Erickson.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7 at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 8 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Dr. Bryson “Gene” Bell. Entombment will be at the Northridge Mausoleum in Fairview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the First Reformed Church or Family LifeCare in Berne.
