Lydia Ann Schwartz

Lydia Ann Schwartz, 92, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1923 in Holmes County, Ohio to Albert and Sarah (Miller) Erb. She was married on October 10, 1963 to Jake D. Schwartz.

She was a member of the Old Order Amish and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two step-sons, Joe U. (Rosie) Schwartz of Monroe; and Chris U. (Betty) Schwartz of Centreville, Michigan; two step-daughters, Mary Yoder; and Esther (John H.) Schwartz, both of Monroe; step-daughter-in-law, Katie Schwartz of Berne; two sisters, Amanda (Melvin) Mullet; and Emma Schlabach, both of Sugarcreek, Ohio; brother, Menno (Mattie) Erb of Sugarcreek, Ohio; 24 step-grandchildren; 124 step-great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step-son, Daniel Schwartz; step-daughter, Laura Schwartz; and three brothers, John, Levi, and Mose Erb.

Visitation was from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 at her home, 2898S 000, Monroe. Funeral services were at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27 also at her home. Officiating was Bishop Jacob M. Shetler. Burial was in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
