Margaret L. Huffman

Margaret L. Huffman, 87, of Hoagland passed away at 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born on June 8, 1929 in Decatur to Daniel D. and Dora G. (Bailey) Rhoades. She was married on February 22, 1947 to Bill L. Huffman.

She retired from Luginbill Wire Die and had also worked at Montgomery Ward for 14 years. She loved doing puzzles, crocheting, gardening, and flowers. She was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her pumpkin pies.

She is survived by a son, William (Kaylee) Huffman of Fort Wayne; four daughters, Gloria Lesperance of Kathleen, Georgia; Marcia (James) Kaehr of Lagro; Cheryl K. (Bryan) Huffman of Spencerville; and Carol Gordon of Syracuse; two sisters, Ethel Caudle of Fort Wayne; and Shirley (Donald) Williams of Churubusco; two brothers, Delbert Rhoades; and Daniel (Sandy) Rhoades of Laotto; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 22, 2004; brother, Charles David Rhoades; sister, Mary Harvey; and great-granddaughter, Allison Browand.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1 at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor David Stecker. Burial will be at Decatur Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Clint Kaehr; Kyle Krick; Corbin Huffman; Kenton Frecker; John Browand; and Chad Gordon.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
