Marjorie R. Brewster

Marjorie R. Brewster, 82, of Berne passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Swiss Village in Berne, where she was a resident. She was born on August 26, 1933 in Wells County to Faye and Minerva (Gustin) Oswalt. She was married on October 31, 1954 to Bert Brewster.

She was a member of the West Missionary Church in Berne. She was a former employee of Bluffton Franklin Electric for 35 years and enjoyed traveling, bird watching, and crafts.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Tracy) Lorton of Linn Grove; two sons, Don (Valerie) Brewster of Decatur; and Ron (Ann) Brewster of Keystone; three step-children, Martha (Terry) Hammons of Bluffton; Carol (Harry) Dubach of Berne; and Sharon Kaehr of Decatur; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Randall Brewster; two brothers, Gus and Charles Oswalt; three sisters, Joan McFarren; Vera Alfeld; and Ruthann Nussbaumer; three grandsons, Phillip and Brian Kaehr; and John Dubach; two great-granddaughters, Tabitha Kaehr; and Alexandria Pharr; and a great-great-grandson, Shaun Hammond.

Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14 at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home in Berne and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Monday, August 15 at West Missionary Church in rural Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Josh Maller. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
