Mary D. Schwartz

Mary D. Schwartz, 51, of Hicksville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her home after a 2½ year struggle with cancer. She was born on October 10, 1965 in Geneva to David N. and Mary Ellen (Eicher) Wengerd. She was married on August 13, 1987 to Marvin D. Schwartz.

She was co-owner of D.L. Schwartz Company of Berne.

She is survived by her husband of Hicksville, Ohio; four sons, Randy Schwartz of Bryant; Robert Schwartz (friend Susan Graber); Michael Schwartz; and Dennis Schwartz, all at home; six daughters, Arlene (Toby) Swartzentruber; and Lisa (Amos) Swartzentruber, both of Bryant; and Rachel Schwartz; Dena Schwartz; Kristine Schwartz (friend Adam Schwartz); and Jennifer Schwartz, all at home; four brothers, Jake and John Wengerd of Geneva; Noah Wengerd of Salem; and David Wengerd of Monroe; three sisters, Christina (Menno) Eicher of Bryant; Barbara (Paul) Eicher of Portland; and Bertha (Melvin) Schwartz of Evart, Michigan; and eight grandchildren, Tobe, Crystal, Ethan, Dakota, Elaine, Michael, Brandon and Calvin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Samuel Wengerd and his wife, Rose Ann.

Visitation was from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6 and until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7 at the home of Marvin Schwartz, 7794 Gingrich Rd, Hicksville, Ohio. Funeral services were at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 8 at the Christian Day School, 7207 Hicksville Edgerton Rd, Hicksville, Ohio. Burial was at the Amish Cemetery in Hicksville, Ohio.
