Mildred M. Schladenhauffen

Mildred M. Schladenhauffen, 87, of Bluffton passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton. She was born on March 17, 1930 in Adams County to Joel and Sarah (Nussbaum) Schwartz. She was married on October 7, 1951 in Bluffton to Paul C. Schladenhauffen.

She worked at Dunbar Furniture as secretary to the president and later worked as a legal secretary for Dan Harsh, Attorney. She then worked as a legal secretary for Gregory K. Waters, Attorney, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time camping and fishing. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Sally Schwartz of Berne; and Elizabeth Schwartz of Bluffton; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on April 16, 2004; three brothers, Howard, Kenneth, and Lester Schwartz; and sister, Luella Geisel.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8 at Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 9 at Apostolic Christian Church East. Officiating will be Ron Kipfer and Lynn Fiechter. Burial will be at Apostolic Christian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Christian Care Retirement Community in Bluffton.
