Renee J. Andrews
Renee Joy Andrews, 30, of rural Berne went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 22, 2018 following a tragic one-vehicle accident. She was born on November 2, 1987 in Decatur to Roger and Jenny Neuenschwander. She was married on December 19, 2009 to Albert Andrews.
She graduated from South Adams High School in 2006, where she played softball and volleyball. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis in 2009 with a nursing degree and has been employed by Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for the past 10 years, currently as a nurse on the Neuro Science Unit. She was a loving and special wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and nurse. She loved life, which was evident as she lived it to the fullest and always wore a smile. She greatly enjoyed showing livestock, especially dairy goats with her family at many local, state, and national shows. She and her husband started the herd name of Country Mile Nubians
She was a 10-year Adams County 4-H member where she participated in the beef, starter calf, and goat projects receiving the esteemed Premier Livestock Showman Award. She served as an Adams County Goat Club leader for the past eight years and was an active member of the First Mennonite Church in Berne.
She is survived by her parents of rural Berne; her husband of rural Berne; son, Isaac, age 6; daughter, Addilynne, age 3; sister, Amy (Nathan) Hirschy of rural Decatur; brother, Eric (Jen) Neuenschwander of rural Berne; and seven nieces and nephews, Corbin, Aaron, and Ben Hirschy; and Callie, Mackenzie, Caiden, and Eli Neuenschwander.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vernon and Ava (Kraft) Liechty; and Joel and Lydia (Neuenschwander) Neuenschwander.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26 and one hour prior to the 3:00 p.m. celebration of life service on Saturday, January 27 at First Mennonite Church in Berne. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Linthicum. Burial will be at MRE Cemetery in Berne.
