Monroe Town Council last night approved the designation of an economic development area for Strick Corporation, also granting a 10 year tax abatement for real estate and property. To do so, the council temporarily suspended the Town Council meeting and opened a public hearing to discuss the request and the scope of the project that prompted Strick's request. The semi trailer manufacturer anticipates strong demand for custom semi units and plans to add a line designated for such production.
