Large crowd, festivities for Lehman’s retirement
It was an overflowing parking lot and standing room inside the Limberlost Visitor’s Center on Saturday as a large crowd turned out to honor outgoing Limberlost State Historic Site director Randy Lehman. Lehman came to Geneva in 1999 and in spite of his last name, bears no relation to the Lehmans in the Berne area. During his tenure of service, the site built a new state of the art visitor center, electronic sign, music room restoration and is currently in the process of restoring the kitchen in the Gene Stratton Porter residence.
