Wanner leads SA state participants

South Adams sophomore Addie Wanner garnered the top finish of the three Starfires participating in the state track and field meets at Indiana University in Bloomington this past weekend. Wanner took 13th overall in the girls 100-meter hurdles in 15.25 seconds during the preliminary heats and finished just .17 seconds away from qualifying for the finals. Bellmont’s 4 x 800 girls relay team finished sixth and earned state medals with a finish in 9:23.47. That team consisted of Bailey Beery, Mackenzie Neher, Emily Fuelling and Emily Gunsett. Beery was 14th in the 3200-meter run in 11:01.24.
