South Adams opened the week with a handful of tough matches, falling to Blackford and Bluffton in varsity golf. The Starfires fell to Blackford 174-194 Monday. They took part in a quad meet Tuesday at home, falling to Bluffton 178-207, but beat Adams Central 228 and Southern Wells 229. South Adams is now 6-4. Nathan Brown took medalist honors for Blackford Monday with a 38. McGerran Clouser shot 42 to lead the Starfires, Jacob Rife carded a 45, David Muselman 49, Dexter Miller 58 and Chris Beitler 60. Jackson Ingle took medalist honors for Bluffton Tuesday with a 43.
